Senior Quality Engineer
Profile
- Degree is required or equivalent experience
- Specific education and training in Quality disciplines including minimum IATF 16949, Continuous Improvement, Total Quality Management, PPAP, FMEA, Control plans, DOE and SPC
- Minimum 7 years in the Automotive Industry
- Minimum 5 years in Quality area
- Knowledge of the AIAG Quality planning and Control Plan standard, FMEA´s, PPAP´s, Dimensional layouts, gage/fixture design and Performance/Material testing
- Manufacturing Quality system experience and customer communication activities
- Certification in Quality Engineering a plus. VDA 6.3 internal auditor
- Requirements may be waived based upon work experience

- Ensure that continuous improvement is made in all Production MEQ Quality Deliverables (e.g.: RPPM, CPPM, IPPM, SPPM, Quality Costs, Customer Product Audits and Warranty)
- Ensure that customer and internally identified quality issues are resolved using Adient problem solving methods (8D Report, Problem Solving Document “PSD”, PCAD, Kepner-Tregoe, etc.)
- Prepare necessary corrective / preventive actions, follow up, verify and release corrective actions
- Assure that all Quality activities are performed according BOS-, IATF-, ISO 9000 standards and specific customer requirements
- Evaluate results of customer product audits and providing of feedback to the organization (e.g. production, engineering etc.)
- Support customer regarding corrective and preventative actions
- Analyze parts returned through warranty system together with the responsible Warranty Engineer
- Initiate customer responses and action plans
- Give training and guidance and professional support to staff
- Function as the primary point of contact for the Operations in responding to critical customer, production and warranty issues, Quality Key measure performance and other “Customer Specific” initiatives
